These artifacts, allegedly found by an Israeli Bedouin and later protected by Jordanian authorities, are said to predate the Dead Sea Scrolls and contain secret teachings from the Nazarean sect, the followers of Jesus. Despite scientific validation from metallurgists and scholars, the codices have been dismissed by a small group of young academics—most notably a single Oxford student—whose attacks have silenced the very experts who verified them. The suppression, Solignac argues, is not religious but political and ego-driven, rooted in academic gatekeeping and fear of disrupting established narratives. What makes this story even more explosive is that one codex contains a portrait of Jesus resembling the Shroud of Turin, and scholars believe it may be the original Book of Revelation.
