As the plane approaches the treacherous Andes, the crew lands on a plateau near the ominous mountain Tupangato, where they debate whether to attempt a risky flight over the storm-wrapped peak. Perry White and Lois Lane, who have joined the expedition, suggest launching rocket flares to signal any survivors, a decision that leads to eerie flute-like sounds in the night. The episode ends with a shocking twist: Jimmy, trying to find a sheepskin in the dark, accidentally triggers the emergency drop hatch, sending himself plummeting toward the jagged peaks—only for Superman to dive into action at bullet speed to save him.
