Set 500 years after the formation of the Galactic Network Units, the tale follows Snick, a curious baby Goliath who tumbles from his mountain home while chasing a squirrel, only to stumble upon an unattended Astra shuttle. Unnoticed by the crew, he hides inside, naps, and is unknowingly transported to the Pax Astra, the massive mothership of the Arcane Security Threat Response Agency. Raised in isolation aboard the ship, Snick grows up without knowing his planet of origin, becoming a wild, instinct-driven child shaped by the ship’s environment rather than his mountain roots. Despite Astra’s training, his innate barbarian nature—curious, direct, and prone to physical solutions—remains intact. The story blends whimsy and wonder with themes of belonging, identity, and the unexpected paths that lead to heroism.
